New Risk Assessment Searching Mechanism

The ICGEB Biosafety Unit is happy to inform you that a new and improved version of the Risk Assessment Searching Mechanism (RASM) is available at the URL http://rasm.icgeb.org/

RASM is an authorative collection of Risk Assessment documents related to official government decisions concerning the commercial release of GMOs worldwide, irrespective of the final decision.

So far it includes records belonging to 26 countries and includes more than 24 different traits in 21 crop species.

RASM was developed by ICGEB Biosafety Unit through funds made available by the Italian Ministry for Environment, for the Protection of the Territory and the Sea.

You can search this mechanism for documents on LMOs/GMOs using the quick search or the advance search option meeting the following selection criteria: taxonomical classification; OECD identifier or Company identifier; trait; year (assessment date) and country.

Evento KM4Dev - Key Actors in the Upcoming Knowledge Share Fair

KM4Dev es una comunidad internacional de personas interesadas en la gestión y el intercambio del conocimiento. Cada año se hacen reuniones para intercambiar experiencias. La reunión anual se realizará este año en Cali - Colombia, en el CIAT (Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical) los días 27 y 28 de mayo.

Algunos de los eventos que se realizarán durante la reunión son el "River of Life" y el "Café Mundial". La clausura del evento se hará con la Discusión sobre posibles manera de crear / fortalecer una comunidad sobre gestión de conocimiento en LAC.

Además se realizará desde el 25 hasta el 27 de mayo la Feria del Conocimiento, un espacio para compartir experiencias, donde habrán Talleres temáticos y exhibición de los proyectos, con información y materiales impresos para compartir.
